Professional Risk Solutions (PRS), a wholesale brokerage insurance firm specializing in executive and professional liability and based in Somerset, N.J., has opened a Tampa, Fla. office to further serve the southeastern insurance market.
Juan C. Borda has joined PRS as assistant vice president to develop new southeast market business opportunities.
The company said this expansion is part of its strategic plan to expand its business model nationally; which included the opening of the firm’s Fort Myers office in 2005.
Borda has 20 years in professional and management liability experience, with 18 years based in the Florida market. Borda, who is bilingual (English and Spanish), will lead a new niche focus initiative for PRS geared toward the Hispanic and Latino insurance agent market in Florida and nationally.
Prior to joining PRS, he served as director of liability for USG Insurance Services, Inc in Tampa, where he was charged with business and market development for the firm.
