Commissioner of Insurance George Dale granted Brierfield Insurance Company a 12.6 percent reduction in premium rates for commercial automobile policies in Mississippi.
The reduction takes effect Sept. 1.
This is the second rate reduction announcement by Brierfield in recent months. On May 1, the company announced it was revising rates for commercial policyholders statewide, including the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which resulted in overall premium decreases of 8.8 percent and 9.3 percent.
Brierfield is a Mississippi domestic insurer that is actively writing in Mississippi, including wind policies on the Gulf Coast.
