Leave it to these stump jumpers to have to undertake a study to find out if seat belts will prevent injury and/or save lives. The answer has always been “yes”. They can save themselves the $313,000 of grant money and just install the damn things.

Yeah, or they can stage a reenactment of the fatal crash referenced, but this time have the kids wear seatbelts & then see if you have the same kind of deaths & injuries as that of the kids that didn’t have any.

HELLO – I can’t believe they are actually doing a study on something like this. I can’t believe the States haven’t already taken action to have seatbelts on the busses, since it’s pretty much mandatory that all people wear them in private passenger & commercial vehicles.

seat belts can save lives if used properley but on school buses their most common use is as wepens i used to live in a school distric where we had seat belts kids would cut them out and try to choke outher students or they would beat outher students with the medel ends i know most plople thank there kids wouldnt do that but most of the time there the ones getting hurt. there was so many fights using seatbelts as a wepen that the school distric cut them out of the busses and discarded them just like our guverment to waist that much money just a thought
