Olympus Insurance Co. of Orlando, Fla., lowered its homeowners insurance rates, most notably in inland counties and for newer homes.
The lower rates will have greatest effect on 33 inland counties across Northern and Central Florida. Base rate decreases apply to both new and renewal business. Homeowners with newer homes will see significantly lower rates with the age-of-home credit.
Olympus is offering rate decreases, combined with age-of-home credits, of up to 35 percent to qualified homeowners.
