Florida Farm Bureau to Attend Public Hearing after Rate Hike Request

In its rate filing of June 20, Florida Farm Bureau requested a statewide average increase of 28.4 percent for its homeowners line of business.

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation announced a public rate hearing to discuss the rate increase request. The hearing will take place on July 30 at 9 a.m. at the Senate Office Building in Tallahassee.

What alot of folks don't realize is that Farm Bureaus are domestic carriers. Florida Farm Bureau only operates in the state of Florida. They don't collect premium from any oth... read more

Good luck getting this one Farm Bureau. I'm not a fan of the over regulation of this market, but I also face up to the fact that they won't approve increases for anyone.
