Give ’em time to rebuild. The crazy right has done a great job of destroying government. This will become clearer in the following weeks. DOJ–corrupted, FDA–corrupted, etc., etc.
Obama’s cabinet appointees, corrupted. Why wait? Let’s start the politics of personal destruction right away for every president. It’s only fair, Bush certainly wasn’t allowed a honeymoon.
One federal agency shouldn’t be expected to provide the first line of assistance to affected areas anywhere. That’s the job of city and state government. In this case, it’s the boonies in Kentucky. You can’t simply erase a severe ice storm overnight. Anybody who chooses to live in such outlying areas should be prepared to support themselves in a disaster. Other areas of the country aren’t going to ingore their own problems and rush out to moonshine country.
Wow, that’s a great post Rita. Some people seem to misunderstand what a “Catastrophe” is by definition, a momentus tragic event. Many times these are unprecedented. The damage is everywhere and ….uh….catastrophic. I’m quite certain that the agencies at all levels are trying their best to cope with this huge mess.
I agree. You never hear anything from these beady eyed inbred hillbillies until they want something. FEMA should tell them to open another bottle of corn liquor and eat another squirrel.
Wait, FEMA is slow at responding to a natural disaster?? Can’t we blame the President for this like we did Katrina? This is all Obama’s fault!
So why isn’t the American public outraged at FEMA’s slow response to assist in THIS natural disaster?

If that’s your opinion, please don’t post anything saying you agree with me. You apparently are an idiot Marting.
