South Carolina Bans Texting for Some Workers Driving State Cars

    good to see the gov’t prevents it’s employees from texting while driving but is perfectly OK in allowing the other citizens to text and drive.

    so, did you read the article, where it states, it did not help lower the accident rate based on the new laws. they even compared to the states that did not pass that law and the accident rates were still the same. so, did it help? probably not! what they should have done, is have a reason reduce costs paid out. why not pass a law, that if involved in an accident and have a cellphone or texting while driving that your costs that the insurance folks will normally be giving you will be less. if you can afford to pay attention to the road, you can pay attention to any money recieved due to negligence.
