Georgia Bill Would Restrict Insurance Executives’ Political Giving

    Why not just stop everyone from contributing to political campaigns? Why make up this rule just for insurance people?

    This is a cheap political ploy because Rep Scott stands to benefit from it directly. That’s the only reason this is even an issue. If you’re going to limit anyone’s ability to give to a political campaign, you need to limit everybody’s ability to give to political campaigns.

    Sounds more like common sense and a good idea to me…we need to get the money out of the pockets of the politicians whose votes are BEING bought.

    House Financial Services Committee Members taking donations from banks and financial institutions is improper too……I’m sure Christopher Dodd got his share of cash from those banks who expected certain things in exchange for his vote…

    That’s one of the major problems of our system…..the campaign contributors receive votes in their favor, and the average American isn’t represented in Congress.
