Keystone Insurers Group (KIG) has added two more to its growing list of partner agencies. Jessie Insurance Agency of Campbellsville and Insurance Service Centers of Southeast Kentucky increase to 16 the number of KIG partners in Kentucky and join KIG’s network of more than 200 independent agencies in six states.
Jessie Insurance Agency Inc., serving central Kentucky since 1972, was founded by Kimble and Julie Jessie. Their son Scott joined the firm in 1997. Today Jessie Insurance employs eight people.
Insurance Service Centers of Southeast Kentucky is owned by Stephen C. Vaughn, who in 2000 purchased two established, incorporated agencies – The London Insurance Agency of London, Ky., and Insurance Service Center of Corbin – from their common owners. The agency operates under both trade names in two locations.
KIG, founded in 1983 and headquartered in Northumberland, Pa., is owned by its employees and franchise partners in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Each partner is an independent agency. With property/casualty premiums exceeding $1 billion, KIG is ranked sixth on Insurance Journal’s 2009 list of Top 100 Privately-Held Property/Casualty Agencies.
