It’s great that there are still survivors out there of things like this, and important that we get their stories now before they’re all gone. Think about it: within the last few years, there are no longer any surviving WW1 vets, Titanic survivors, etc. Soon, there won’t be any WW2 vets left.

A hurricane can occur in the south without being followed by looting.

If only the residents of New Orleans had fathers like the one mentioned in this story.

Are you kidding me? Don’t paint all people with the same broad brush. In Katrina, there was some looting, but the majority of people were not looters.

It has nothing to do with being in the south or there being a hurricane. Looting has happened everywhere… NYC, Chicago, LA.

You are missing out on some of the best quality of life in this country if you haven’t considered migrating south. However, with your simple-minded comment, we who live in and love the south prefer that you stay elsewhere.
