With all due respect to Senator Marc Basnight: he is correct that the inland areas are in danger as well. However he is completely ignoring the unfair leverage of responsibility onto the inland areas for artificially low rates in coastal areas. Enough of the smoke and mirrors, his constituents will most likely still support him if he admits that what he wants, is for the rest of us to pay more in insurance premiums. All to have lower rates in the coastal areas. The real problem becomes, most of the rest of us will not support our senators if they agree with him. Thus the committee end around attempt.
