Michael R. Cratem, an insurance executive with 18 years in the business, has been named vice president and chief underwriting officer at Sunshine State Insurance Co., which writes homeowners’ insurance in Florida.
Cratem returns to SSIC after three years as senior vice president of Intendant Holding Corp./Kings Bay Insurance Services in Ponte Vedra Beach. He served as marketing and underwriting manager and vice presdient of underwriting during the early years of Sunshine’s growth.
Cratem’s early career was spent at Prudential Property & Casualty Insurance Co. and Prudential Healthcare.
