A North Carolina insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance voluntarily surrendered her license after being arrested on embezzlement charges, according to state officials.
Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin reported the arrest of Susan Kaye Glover, of Wilson, on Feb. 28. Department of Insurance criminal investigators allege that between December 2009 and October 2010, Glover pocketed $11,014.39 in premiums she collected while working as an insurance agent at Bonnie H. Smith Agency of Nationwide Insurance in Wilson.
Officials said that affected policies were made whole by the Bonnie H Smith Agency.
