Here’s what I’d like to know, does Mike Fasano know that most people insured with standard carriers dont have the option to purchase sinkhole coverage? Does he also know that everyone is picking up the tab for Citizens shortfalls in the form of assessments to our auto, umbrella etc policies? Sometimes I just really wonder if he understands the law of economics….what goes out must come in first…you can pay with money you dont have.
I sponsored a breakfast for mortgage brokers where Fasano spoke. Wasn’t real impressed with the guy. Comes across as a typical blowhard politician. Lots of bitching and whining. No solutions.
I totally agree with you. Fasano is always against the insurance industry in Florida even if the nexessary steps are being taken. i don’t see Fasano having a campaign against public adjusters which is how we got in this entire mess anyway. People are all ready complaining that Citizens it too expensive but they are 15% to 25% less expensive then other company who aren’t eben offering sinkhole coverage. Heck, Citizens was supposed to be resolved by 2005 and now look what kinda mess they are in

Sen. Fasano is one of the least conservative Republicans I have ever read about.

How bout a poll? How many think there is even a .000001% chance the OIR will approve this?
I don’t. they might faze it in, but no way they implement it as written.
