The insurer group, American Insurance Association, has hired Ron Jackson to serve as its southeast region assistant vice president for state affairs.
Jackson currently is the assistant commissioner for the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner. He also has been a staff member of the Georgia Legislature and staff attorney for the Georgia Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs.
He is slated to begin his new position October 1.
