Wait, did I just see the ACLU is representing Christians? Wow!
2) It’s a public road. So there has to be some give and take with their private views in the interest of others.
not rested yet, because it has not passed… and folks are still in jail…. and what if only a few of them agree to the tape? are you going to let them all off the hook to ride on a public road? if not, i think they might have to build a private road for buggies and no cars and the state does not need any money to give them for cost and repair of the road…
Common sense would say for these buggies be off public roads or obey the law. They at least need to have something highly visible to others on the roadway as it is also for the safety of them not just the amish. It is pretty selfish to say “we can’t do it because it’s up to god on the roadways too” when it endangers the lives of other people not part of your sect. The amish want to take advantage of the roads paved or constructed by “the world” but don’t want the restrictions “the world” offers on these roads.
I think the use of safety tape is great idea for the Amish. It is cost effective and even there is tape available that you can not see unless it is dark and lights shine on it.

Well that issue is finally settled. What do you want to talk about now?
Finally, a victory for common sense. Let’s hope this puts the issue to rest.

Yeah for Johnny Bell for stepping up to the plate. Let’s hope it passes.
