San Francisco-based Socius Insurance Services Inc., a management liability and property/casualty insurance wholesaler, has opened an office in Birmingham, Alabama, and named Hank Stickley as vice president.
Stickley comes to Socius after a 26 years in insurance. Prior to joining Socius, he worked at two national brokerage firms in both wholesale and retail placements. He also has been a senior executive risk underwriter with Chubb Group, Chartis and Cincinnati Insurance.
The new branch will specialize in management and professional liability.
Socius has other offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Elgin, Ill, and Tampa and Miami, Florida. Founded in 1997, the privately-held company said it currently has approximately 50 employees.
