There’s one person not on this year’s ballot who is still getting his fair share of grief. And that’s Florida Gov. Rick Scott.
Scott has been battling poor poll ratings most of his time in office. Now he is turning into a target for those running for the Florida Legislature.
Democratic candidates have run ads going after the Republican governor on education, property insurance rate hikes and his push for tax cuts.
A GOP spokesman maintains that Scott’s policies are popular with voters.
Even some Republican legislative candidates have distanced themselves from Scott.
One candidate vows to bring back North Florida values to Tallahassee and to treat state employees better. Another GOP candidate has promised to block Scott from publishing state worker salaries on the Internet.
