Builders Insurance Group, based in Atlanta, has named Greg R. Krause as vice president of underwriting. Krause brings 31 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance sector to his responsibilities of strategic management and leadership of the underwriting division.
Prior to joining Builders Insurance Group, Krause served as general manager of Deep South Insurance Services. Before this, he served as branch manager with Zurich North America where he was responsible for middle market underwriting operations of mid-sized to large accounts for several states. He also managed an underwriting operations unit of Zurich Construction. Krause began his career with St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co.
Builders Insurance targets the residential and light commercial construction market through independent agents in southeastern, mid-Atlantic and midwestern states as well as in Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
