Coventry Insurance, Knightbrook to Offer Personal Articles Coverage in FL

February 12, 2013

Coventry Insurance Services and KnightBrook Insurance Co. have partnered to offer Coventry Shield Valuable Personal Articles Coverage. The policy an “all-risk” coverage for valuables that are not covered adequately or at all under typical homeowners’ policies, including: fine jewelry, silverware, fine art, furs, cameras, golf and other valuable sports equipment, musical instruments and other types of property with special value or qualities.

Coventry Shield coverage will be available only to Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) members through FAIA’s in-house general agency, FAIA Member Services, starting February 15, 2013.

Coventry Shield offers coverage on a scheduled inland marine basis for the valuable personal articles that are often not covered under typical homeowners’ policies. Over the last decade, such insurance has been unavailable to an increasing number of homeowners whose policies provide narrowly restricted coverage for items that hold specific economic or sentimental value. FAIA member agents will now be able to issue Coventry’s world-wide coverage through web-based systems offering instant underwriting and issuance, and payment plans and options including electronic funds transfer (EFT), credit card, and E-Check, on a one-time or recurring monthly basis.

Coventry Insurance Services, LLC is a newly formed company and brand created for the Coventry Shield product. It is a subsidiary of Celestite Holdings, LLC which is based in the Dallas suburb of Irving, Texas and owned by insurance industry veteran Richard Asprey.

KnightBrook Insurance Co. is a specialty insurance underwriter that focuses on niche business insurance.
