Esurance, the direct-to-consumer insurance company, will open a new sales and claims office in Greenville, South Carolina, this summer that will employ up to 450 South Carolina residents.
The insurer said job openings will include inside sales positions that can offer an average annual salary of $50,000 plus monthly incentives and a variety of claims roles, including first-notice-of-loss associates and express and material damage adjusters.
The Greenville office will be the fifth Esurance sales office in the country. Esurance has sales locations in Sacramento, Sioux Falls, Tampa and Phoenix.
Esurance sells personal insurance in 41 states. The company said that since being acquired by Allstate in October 2011, it has nearly doubled in size, with more than 3,000 employees across 16 offices nationwide.
The company recently gained a rash of publicity with a $1.5 million Twitter sweepstakes. The company said it received more than 200,000 entries within the first minute of the sweepstakes ad airing after the Super Bowl.
