Beginning in November 2014, Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. will offer homeowners insurance and flood insurance throughout North Carolina.
While Lighthouse will debut in the state with only homeowners and flood, it expects to introduce a dwelling fire product in 2015.
Lighthouse already provides coverage to more than 33,000 policyholders in Louisiana and South Carolina. It distributes its products through independent agents.
Lighthouse said it is currently appointing North Carolina agents writing homeowners and flood policies.
Gina Stallings has been hired as the state’s marketing representative. She joins Lighthouse with 29 years of experience in the North Carolina insurance market in both agency and carrier positions.
Lighthouse is an admitted and domiciled Louisiana property/casualty insurance company, headquartered in Orlando, Fla. Lighthouse products include homeowners, condo, renters, flood and dwelling fire insurance policies.
