There was this guy two weeks ago came to my door and wouldn’t identify himself; he insisted he wanted to see if my windshield was damaged and wanted me to let him fix it with my insurance. I told him to leave and I called the police. There is a group of people trying to take down businesses and they seem to know a lot about what we have. I closed my business due to the harassment.

Every week someone comes into our office wanting to inspect my employees windshields. I tell them you know this is an insurance agency right. There reply it isn’t like your paying the claim! Fortunately my employees escort them out of my office before I react to their comments!

There ARE companies that are doing legitimate work, not all glass companies are fraud. There’s fraud in all different types of business and its unfortunate that other companies suffer due to the greed of others. Insurance companies themselves commit some of the most fraud in the most subliminal ways. Educate yourselves on what your insurance offers and is supposed to cover before judging anyone who is marketing and trying to make an honest living. There is fraud out there but just do your research. Major insurance companies have contracts with Safelite to prevent the growth of other companies. Insurance agents gear customers to Safelite even though they’re requesting a different company because of their contract & whatever other perks they get.
