This state legalized gambling some time back , fully knowing that a certain percent of people become addicted to Gambling. You will probably check and find out this money was taken to feed either a drug, alcohol or most likely a gambling addiction. The insurance company could probably go over to the Mardi Gras Casino and find their money or at one of the local gambling spots. See the State doesnt care! The people become addicted to gambling, they extort money any way they can to play, The State gets their share of the extorted money from the gambling casino and they are scott free. The addict has to pay it back to the victim. the addict destroys his or her life and others as well, goes to jail when the jails are over crowded mainly because of the states own laws. Taxpayers pay for it all. The state supposively uses the money to help school children, veterans and so forth. It never happens. In the recent flooding in WV not one penny of lottery money went to help no one!!! We need not only to get rid of the drug problem, we need to attack this gambling problem. Its just as bad if not worse!! look at the number of money extortion cases in WV since gambling was legalized. No Morals, No Shame! Shame on our government. Oh I know what will help!!!
