An unfortunate cost to small business owners and the more reason for larger employers to look at implementing onsite services focused on injury prevention strategies to offset Workers’ Compensation expenses.
This is such a reap off that allow employees to lie and explode the workers compensation insurance. The state and government should be more efficiency and do more investigation to the reality of worker compensation. It is upsetting that they don’t considered small businesses when it comes to this type of decision. Imagine 14% in wc plus another 15% in taxes for every $100, how can small business hire more people, create more job, when there is no profit. To increase the rate is ridiculous, instead they should not allow too many sues accepted and paid, make it more affordable, and believe the employers more than the employees that are actually the problem, and a lot of the time provoke or invent accident that are not real, and still win a demand. I am totally Disgusted with the system.
Of course there will be an increase in litigation activity!!! This is now once a again a lucrative business for attorneys and soon you will see slip and fall commercials now include “injured at work” and create the problems we had back before 2003 where anyone enticed by a lawyer to make a claim so they can enjoy an extended paid vacation will do so again.
Humans can’t help but repeat the mistakes of the past. We are cyclical beings of ignorance, never giving serious considerations to the lessons of the past. Simply put, most of us are just DUMB!!!

Eliminate the middleman! Just take all of your money and send it directly to your local injury law firm.
