Two construction workers were rescued from the side of a five-story building near Miami when the scaffolding they were standing on malfunctioned.
The incident played out on television news shows Tuesday morning as the men conducted repairs and maintenance at the Palmetto Bay Village Center.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue firefighter Maggie Castro tells WPLG that she used a pulley line to scale the building to reach a worker who was handing by his harness. She helped the man into the bucket of a ladder truck.
Castro says she then scaled the building again to reach the other man, who was perched on top of the scaffolding.
No injuries were reported.
