Isn’t it remarkable that liberals who generally think government is a net good for people refuse to acknowledge the elephant in the room on Parkland: government failed in so many ways and were the DIRECT cause of the deaths of most of these students.
The sherriffs were told to “stand down” during the shooting, in contrast to the directions of nearly every other police procedure with an active shooter: engage immediately to limit the carnage. The school hired only one security guard, who did nothing outside while the shootings took place. No security dogs. No smoke bombs or tear gas or other distractions for the shooter. Nope. Just stupid procedures and cowardice.
And do the liberals who cheer the gun hating students on late night TV ever think to change the procedures at schools and police departments nationwide to make sure the next active shooter can’t cause so much death? Nope.
It’s all politics all the time for the Left. Even when kids are dying. Guns. Guns. Guns.
(At least the school did the common sense thing: they now allow any teacher who wants to to get gun training and carry in the class room. And guess what? The next shooter will pick a school with a “no guns on campus” policy.)

Scott Israel should be prosecuted. I wonder what other city will give him a job in law enforcement. Guess he can get a job in the Resistance.
Wow – what a finding. I have a difficult time believing that at the time when you are called to do your UTMOST to stop a killing – you tell someone to do nothing. When one man with a gun could have stopped the shooting of what 15 of the 17 dead – he’s told not to. Really? How is this possible. How is this not shouted from the tops of the roofs of CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, CNBC, MSNBC? This totally reminds me of H. Clinton’s botching of the Bengazhi, Libya situation – American soldiers in peril – an ambassador is in peril – and what do we do? Tell the men who’s mission it is to help – STOP! As a veteran this is insulting to me. As a human being this makes 0 sense. As an American I am ashamed. Guns are not the problem folks, PEOPLE are. It is 100% impossible to legislate crazy.

I’m waiting for the usual lefty suspects to whine-in on the now ex-sheriff’s removal. He should be locked-up.
