Risk manager Mark Resler has been appointed to the Florida Self Insured Guaranty Association (FSIGA) by Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis, according to a statement from the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Resler currently serves as the risk manager for Anderson Columbia County in Lake City, Fla. and as a board member of the Florida Association of Self-Insureds. He previously worked as the manager of self-insured claims for FCCI Insurance Group, claims manager for Integrated HealthCARE Delivery Services Inc., and claims supervisor for Aetna.
FSIGA is a private, nonprofit corporation established by Florida Statute responsible for guaranteeing that injured workers of insolvent self-insurers continue to receive their benefits. All self-insurers other than governmental entities and public utilities are required to be members of the association.
