Only reason to poach is to kill all the competition. Centari, Applied, whoever. Last time I checked, we were a capitalist country and free to do exactly that.
Wellington was in some biz deal that didn’t end up happening. Noncompetes signed and now broken. Isn’t anyone loyal anymore? Collectively the 3 that left Wellington clocked over 50 years at Centari.
Like the weather, capitalism is rife with extremes. It ends up costing the consumer in many instances, while lining the already deep pockets of some executive.
@PlanetVance: loyalty doesn’t seem count anymore…all bets off in Corona/Covid situation. However, if $30mil lawsuit is successful, it will kill Wellington.
I worked at Marsh when Jeff was CEO and he allowed no trespass regarding non-competes for any exec, sales or otherwise, if they left “the firm”. If they so much as called a client or prospect or used what Marsh felt was proprietary or intellectual methods or work product, he swung into action with the legal team. So this is what exactly?
Big Daddy Greenberg gonna be mad about this! Wellington going to get grounded!
Greenburg? Why?
^ Jeff Greenberg (Hank’s son) CEO of Aquiline – majority owner of Wellington.
What’s Greenberg got to do w/ it?

Didn’t he learn after MMC?
To be fair, Aquiline not mentioned in article, but as major Wellington backer, it reflects badly on everyone involved.
“Volumes of confidential, proprietary and trade information” were provided by Centauri to Wellington. So they got that plus the top execs? S C O R E !
