EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, a retail property and casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, has added Robert Johnson as principal.
Johnson’s primary focus will be new client acquisition and helping teams build client relationships through non-medical growth strategies.
Johnson has more than 30 years of sales and leadership experience. Prior to joining EPIC, he served as Customer Unit vice president for MetLife’s South Customer Unit in Dallas. In this role, he was responsible for sales, revenue, persistency, and overall profit and loss for a $1.2 billion book of non-medical business.
Johnson and his team of 75 sales and service associates focused in the non-medical large case (5000+) marketplace, with a specific focus on life, dental, disability, and a wide variety of voluntary benefits.
Based in Atlanta, Johnson will report to Scott Schanen, president of EPIC’s National Employer Consulting Practice.
