Flash flooding turned some streets into rivers and damaged some cars in the Atlanta suburbs.
Crews worked overnight and into Wednesday morning to pull cars off of the streets after the flooding left them damaged, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
More than 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) of rain fell in a short amount of time. That caused storm drains to overflow in Cobb County, just northwest of Atlanta. Heavy rains were also reported in parts of Forsyth and Gwinnett counties, as well as north Fulton County.
Marietta saw 4.37 inches (11.1 centimeters) of rain, WSB-TV reported.
