A drop in the ocean as we don’t see any let up in the litigated claims for FL HO (or any other line for that matter-commercial property in South FL is starting to see the unholy alliance of lawyer, PA, restoration contractor, GC, roofer). And, the SB 76 provision to not directly solicit for roofing or other claims has been overturned, at least temporarily by the courts so door knockers are going everywhere in neighborhoods, PA’s are still mailing, e-mailing directly to condo unit owners about potential mold and water damage and roofers are still flying drones over houses and sending infrared photos of “damage” from some alleged storms directly to property owners. So…not really anything positive at all until all that activity stops entirely.
FL carriers still swimming in excessive litigation… headlines like these don’t help address this issue… they do the opposite in fact… Can we reserve headlines like this for when significant developments occur? (Maybe for a significant Year-Over-Year change instead of an insignificant Month-Over-Month change??)
Um… maybe it’s because Hurricane Irma and Michael claims have just about reached the end of A NEW ROOF for EVERY HOMEOWNER!
