Vyrd Insurance Co., one of the few new insurers to brave the distressed Florida property insurance market in recent years, announced that industry veteran Elizabeth Bevelacqua has been named director of sales and marketing.
Bevelacqua has 15 years in the industry and previously worked with national and Florida carriers. She also was senior vice president of sales for a national agency group, Vyrd said in a news release.
Vyrd’s CEO has said that the start-up company, based in St. Petersburg, will utilize technology to alert repair crews quickly when a water leak or roof damage is detected, and will emphasize agent communication with homeowners.
