Openly, a provider of homeowners insurance, announced that it is now open for business in Mississippi.
The company, which sells policies through insurance agents, notes that its platform allows agents to obtain quotes in about 15 seconds.
Mississippi is the 18th state to make Openly available to independent agents, the company said in a news release. Mississippi homeowners insurance rates are significantly higher than others, making it the sixth-most expensive state for home insurance coverage.
Openly, headquartered in Boston, was founded by insurance industry veterans Ty Harris and Matt Wielbut in 2017, and it has seen rapid growth since then, the company said.
