If he truly cared about the good of consumers, he’d release how much his firm collected in fees from that “cool $15B recovered.” It’s amazing how often such a well educated person confuses “clients” with “my wallet.”

You don’t need to be an insurance expert to see why Morgan is reacting like this. He isn’t worried about protecting his clients, he is worried that he won’t be able to collect as he was. If his cases had merit, he wouldn’t be worried!.

They were trying to scare the legislature. Didn’t work. HB 837 passed, has been signed and sent to governor. The days of these parasites driving up rates is over!

Mr. Morgan the crisis you fail to see is not that insurance rates won’t go down.
The crisis is that carriers are going into receivership, non-renewing homeowner policies, closing zip codes or just pulling out of the state of Florida all together. I’m told that this is largely due to predatory law firms filing questionable claims for homeowners looking to “get back” some of what they paid for in homeowner’s insurance. That’s not how insurance works.
For you, Mr. Morgan, the mission is complete when the hapless homeowner gets paid their ill gotten gains and you walk away with a fat percentage. But there is fallout, and it’s not pretty.
I work with Insurance Agents that are on the front lines of this mess Mr. Morgan. I hear the controlled panic in their voices when an announcement is made that yet another carrier they rely on, is going into receivership. I see them trying desperately to find coverage for the hapless homeowner that “got paid” and now has a previous claim they must address with underwriting. I feel the defeat when they can no longer afford to keep our services. Or worse yet, when they can no longer keep their doors open.

Yes, and their newest advertisement starring Miss MORE also seems to emphasize that position.

This new Bill is FANTASTIC! Good to see there is a State that is making positive changes to reduce these frivolous lawsuits, and the money some law firms all across the country that jack up medicals to inflate their client’s damages! Carma is a B…….!

The filing of the 25,000 suits is probably a necessity, something that just has to be dealt with.
As for John Morgan and his ilk, they are a parasitic pestilence. I sincerely hope they get as nasty as they can towards Gov. DeSantis, and Morgan’s comment is a start, because Ron doesn’t get mad, he gets even. He’s proved that. Doesn’t matter if you love him or hate him, he gives no quarter to his enemies.

Awesome? Maybe if you like denying history, burning books and fascistic practices. OH wait, the Republicans are racists who enjoy all those things. Stand with racists, what does that make you?

The lawyers have ruined insurance protection and increased cost for the home and property owners. It is one sided and unfair the lawsuit abuse business is doing so well in Florida. Homeowners need to fight back.

Unbelievable. Who thinks the action of Morgan & Morgan is going to help the sinking FL market? ONLY the trial attorneys would react this way and cost us yet even another billion.
