Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Nashville-based Bernard Benefits, an employee benefits brokerage serving clients in Tennessee, Indiana and Texas.
Bernard, which focuses on small businesses, is a subsidiary of Bernard Health. Bernard’s Brian Tolbert, Matt Kleymeyer and the team will remain in Nashville and will report to Robby White, head of Gallagher’s South Central region employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations, AJG said in a news release.
It’s the latest acquisition for Gallagher, which recently bought Texas-based RHP General Agency, and purchased Buck, also known as BCHR Holdings, one of the largest human resources and benefits firms in North America and the United Kingdom.
