Alera Group, an insurance and financial services firm in the U.S., announced the acquisition of CLS Healthcare Liability Specialists.
Based in North Palm Beach, Florida, CLS provides malpractice coverage for physicians, surgeons, hospitals, locum tenens firms, nurse staffing firms and others in the healthcare sector, the companies said in a news release. Mark Ledger is president of CLS. The CLS team will continue serving clients, Alera said.
Terms of the deal were not announced. It follows Alera’s December acquisition of CBM Insurance Agency in Delaware.
Alera, with headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois, has some 180 offices around the country.
