Atlanta-based PointeNorth Insurance Group, one of the larger independent agencies in the Southeast, has continued its streak of acquisitions with the addition of Valdosta Insurance Services and Southern Insurance Advisors in Georgia.
PointeNorth said in a news release that it has acquired more than 50 agencies and books of business in recent years and has further expansion plans this year.
Valdosta Insurance Services provides property/casualty insurance, employee benefits and life insurance products. Julian “Trey” Sherwood is president. The principals at Valdosta will continue to lead the company, according to the statement.
Southern Insurance Advisors, based in Milton, Georgia, provide property and casualty coverage to clients. The company is led by Kevin DiPetrillo. The firm will now operate under the PointNorth brand.
