Hub International, a global insurance brokerage and financial services firm, has acquired Meyer & Rosenbaum in Meridian, Mississippi, an insurance agency that was founded in 1932.
The agency offers commercial and personal lines products, and the merger will expand Hub’s capabilities in those lines, Hub said in a statement. Bruce Martin, president of Meyer & Rosenbaum and with the firm for four decades, will join the Hub Gulf South team. The agency, with offices downtown, will be known as Meyer & Rosenbaum, a Hub International Company.
The merger marks a milestone for an agency that has been a part of the community for almost a century. One of the former principals of the agency, I.A. “Al” Rosenbaum, was mayor of Meridian, from 1977 to 1985.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hub is headquartered in Chicago and has 19,000 employees in North America.
