
Albert Geraci, area president of wholesale broker Risk Placement Services, has taken the helm as president of the Florida Surplus Lines Association. He replaces Virginia Clancy, who was in the role for 2024-2025.
“This year, we will continue to focus on high-impact priorities that move our mission forward,” Geraci said in a statement Tuesday. Those priorities include:
- Defending the freedom of rate and form
- Engaging in meaningful advocacy with policymakers and regulators
- Elevating public awareness through media and outreach efforts
- Investing in future leadership through education and career engagement
- Creating space for innovation, dialogue, and volunteerism across the association

Meanwhile, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Scott McCleary joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president in its employee benefits group. McCleary will work nationally with clients on benefits strategies.
He was previously senior vice president at NFP, an Aon company and national insurance brokerage and consulting firm.
