According to figures released by the Surplus Line Association of Arizona, written surplus line premium volume in the state totaled $106.9 million in 1999, compared with $90.2 million in 1998–an increase of 18.5 percent.
The numbers show that Lloyd’s was the leading carrier, with $14.21 million, followed closely by Steadfast Insurance Co., with $14.20 million.
