Acting California Insurance Commissioner Clark Kelso announced the decision to close an investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) into unauthorized disclosures by Department of Insurance employees of confidential information. The CHP’s final report on that investigation is expected to be completed and ready for Kelso’s review within the next two weeks.
Also announced was the decision to dismiss the Department’s pending lawsuits against the State Senate arising out of a subpoena for and the public disclosure of several preliminary market conduct reports.
