ABD Insurance and Financial Services will open the doors of its new regional office in Oakland, Calif., on Oct. 1. The new Oakland office is located in the heart of the rejuvenated City Center, 1111 Broadway, 16th Floor.
While 25 people are expected to move in immediately, ABD predicts that approximately 35 employees will eventually be located in Oakland. A number of risk control and claims specialists, as well as specialists in technology, construction and employee benefits, will all operated from this new ABD location. As the largest independently owned brokerage and employee benefit consulting operation in the western United States, ABD has been busy witnessing rapid growth, both internally and through continued mergers and acquisitions.
In fact, the company already broke ground on a five-story office corporate headquarters building in Redwood City, with construction expected to be completed in early 2001. And earlier this month, it announced that it was expanding its San Francisco operations. In addition to its Belmont, Calif. headquarters, ABD has strategic branch locations in the North Bay, the Central Coast, Sacramento, San Francisco and Southern California.
