San Diego-based Anchor General Insurance Agency Inc. signed a two-year contract with Insurance Data Processing Inc. (IDP) of Wyncote, Pa., to perform ISO bureau reporting services and to assist with California-specific SAP (auto physical damage) and SAL (auto liability) reporting requirements. Anchor General is a program director that manages a book of private passenger business.
A need for ISO bureau reporting capabilities came about after one of its client companies that markets nonstandard auto insurance in California assigned the reporting responsibility to Anchor.
According to Gary Gilbert, IDP president and CEO, the contract, which was signed June 29, 2000, instantly enables Anchor General to satisfy the ISO reporting requirement. Under the agreement, IDP will assist Anchor General in completing California-specific SAL and SAP reports for three of its California-based insurance company customers.
IDP will obtain details behind summary information and report these details electronically to the state of California. According to Joe Kaiser, Anchor General’s director, internal auditing, the selection of IDP was based largely on its experience and familiarity of Anchor General’s computer system.
