Autobytel.com Forms Partnerships for New Aftermarket Internet Sales Channel

October 31, 2000

Irvine, Calif.-based Autobytel.com Inc. announced it had formed partnerships with EyeVelocity, Source One Marketing, and automotive aftermarket accessory manufacturers LoJack, Katzkin Leather Inc., Saddleman and Steel Horse, to visually integrate the selection of aftermarket products into Autobytel.com’s consumer car-buying process.

Utilizing EyeVelocity’s Internet Accessorizor technology, the new Aftermarket Program will provide online car buyers to view, customize and request vehicle-specific aftermarket products during the online vehicle purchase request process.

After details of the vehicle purchase request and aftermarket product selection with the consumer are confirmed, the dealer can fulfill aftermarket product sales via a manufacturer direct-to-dealer distribution network, such as LoJack and Katzkin Leather, or through the national online fulfillment system, Source One Marketing.

Autobytel.com and its wholly owned subsidiary CarSmart.com, with a network of more 5,000 accredited dealers nationwide, comprise the seventh largest generator of automotive sales in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, and Australia.

With corporate offices in San Diego, Calif., Portland. Ore. and Boulder, Colo., EyeVelocity offers solutions in visual configuration technology and has pioneered the use of visualization and transaction software in the high-growth aftermarket products and automotive accessories markets. Source One Marketing, an e-commerce company which caters to the automotive accessories market, offers more than 100,000 products for 4,500 vehicles.
