In an effort to expand its commercial earthquake program, International Catastrophe Insurance Managers LLC introduced a new Difference in Conditions policy available in California. ICAT, which also underwrites catastrophe risks in Florida, Texas and the Gulf Coast, will offer this expanded product through select wholesalers throughout the Golden State.
According to Edmund Kelly, chief operating officer, ICAT leads the market in providing quake coverage for small- to medium-sized commercial risks. The company’s DIC form includes business income coverage, building ordinance coverage, and coverage for pools, fences and paved surfaces. There is no minimum premium for the program.
Along with the introduction of the new DIC product, ICAT enhanced its website to provide agents and wholesalers more options, flexibility and speed to complete online quotes. Producers are now able to complete coverage applications online and receive immediate quotes and underwriting decisions.
More information about the DIC product and ICAT Managers can be found on the company’s website, www.icatmanagers.com.
