Ray D. Johnson Jr., former president, CEO and chairman of Republic Indemnity Company of America, recently passed away. In a career in the insurance industry which spanned 48 years, Johnson served as the president of Pacific Insurance and Surety Conference, chairman of the governing committee of the California Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau, chairman of the Workers’ Compensation Institute and was a board member of the Association of California Insurance Companies.
Johnson and Republic Indemnity Company were long-standing supporters in years past of City of Hope and the California Insurance Council. His family has requested that any memorial contributions be made to City of Hope.
