The American Insurance Assoc. has hired Mark Sektnan as assistant vice president for state affairs for AIA’s western region.
A long-time capitol staffer and a veteran of the HMO reform effort in California, Sektnan will bring extensive public and private-sector legislative advocacy experience to AIA’s government affairs team.
Sektnan will be based in AIA’s Sacramento office. He will handle government affairs issues in California and several other states in the region.
