Calif. Brokers Have New Service to Offer, Vehicle Registration for Progressive Customers Now Available Online

California drivers insured with Progressive can now renew their auto, motorcycle and motor home registrations online, the company announced.

Progressive electronically transmits proof of insurance to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) so it can be verified instantly for those renewing online, by mail or in-person. This allows Progressive customers to take advantage of the DMVs online registration renewal process. Vehicle owners will receive information about the online option in the mail with their renewal registration notice.

Jim DeVito, Progressive ‘s California Product Manager, said the company was pleased to partner with the DMV to provide independent brokers the ability to offer the new service to their customers and noted that agencies and customers can already conduct business with Progressive online via ForAgentsOnly.com and personal.progressive.com.

Visitors to the California DMV website at www.dmv.ca.gov can renew vehicle registration, or Progressive customers in California and 21 other states may link to their DMV from http://personal.progressive.com, Progressive’s online customer service center.
