The Insurance Industry Charitable Fund is kicking off its annual Bridge Week event, aimed at making a significant difference in the quality of life of California residents.
The state-wide nine-day event involves teams of insurance industry employee volunteers who provide three hours or more of volunteer service at neighborhood nonprofit organizations. In 2000, 138 insurance industry companies took part in IICF Bridge Week activities, serving in more than 210 service projects across the state.

IICF’s Bridge Week Southern California Celebration Luncheon will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, noon to 2 p.m., at the Regal Biltmore Hotel, 506 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles.
The keynote speaker will be Sen. Jack Scott from the 21st Senate District, who will speak on “The Impact of Workers Compensation on the California Economy” along with an insurance legislation update.
